Thank you for the confidence that First Ward voters have shown in me.
For those of us who live in the First Ward, the April election offered the opportunity to have a voice in the decisions that face the center of our community. With the oldest infrastructure in the city, the First Ward presents special challenges that cannot be ignored.
But with the most diverse constituency of any ward–home owners, rental properties, downtown businesses, educational and financial institutions, shops, and restaurants–the First Ward also presents unique opportunities.
As I begin my three-year position as your First Ward City Council representative, I intend to bring my skills and experience to the job of solving the problems, meeting the challenges, and capitalizing on the opportunities before us.
Just as I asked for your input while campaigning, your input for the next three years is even more important.
Get involved! The First Ward needs all of us working together!
